Leroy Leese has been involved in racing for as long as he can remember. Driving a racecar began in September 1995. There have been a few full seasons of racing and a few abbreviated seasons. There have also been a few seasons taken off from racing to simply save up and get in a better financial position. There have been a number of engines under the hood of the 1968 Pontiac Firebird since Leroy took the wheel in 1995. All engines have been Pontiac 400 and 455’s. Most engines were cast iron D-port Pontiac heads, but in 2011 and 2012 they built an engine with aftermarket Edelbrock aluminum O-port heads.

Leroy has won lots of rounds and a few events. Some highlights include winning Outlaw Pontiac Drag Series races 4 different times over 5 different seasons (2000, 2001, 2002, 2009, 2010)

Drag racing is an important part of Leroy’s life and the legacy of the Leese Racing operation. Here is a video used to compete for a sponsorship package offered by Champion Spark Plugs
