Running and Racing Reliably Part II: Continuing at the bottom – Tech Articles – High Performance Pontiac. Great article. Lots of relevant stuff with great pictures for our 455 build. I am going to use the pushrod idea to make sure my lower dipstick tube doesn’t put unnecessary pressure on the windage tray. Good stuff.

Good news! I was able to file-fit all piston rings and get them installed on the pistons. I also measured all rod bearing clearances and was able to determine that we are in good shape with all rod bearings. We are at 0.0035 with all of them. That is exactly where we want to be [...]
