We are competing in a new way this winter. Competing to have Champion (Federal Mogul) sponsor our racing operation this season.

The rules allow for one vote per day, per person. So we will be encouraging everyone we know to help out and help boost us to the top. I have seen that as part of the instructions for the lifters AND the timing chain, to soak them in oil. This sounds like a great idea. I’ll be finding a clean container and some good oil and planning a good soak for both these parts after the heads arrive. Fun stuff. I think tips like these will help ensure a smooth break-in process and a successful duration of the engine.
Great article. Lots of relevant stuff with great pictures for our 455 build. I am going to use the pushrod idea to make sure my lower dipstick tube doesn’t put unnecessary pressure on the windage tray. Good stuff.
